Stutsman-Gerbaz Earthmoving, Inc. was
founded by Dick Stutsman and Jerry Gerbaz in the fall of 1960.
Since then, Stutsman-Gerbaz has been instrumental in the growth
and development of Aspen, Snowmass, and The Roaring Fork Valley.
The first building that Stutsman-Gerbaz excavated in May of 1961
was The Norway Lodge in Snowmass Village which still stands
today. In more recent years, some of our projects have included
the modernization of The Benedict Music Tent, which was first
excavated in the late 1970s by Stutsman-Gerbaz, then again
From the beginning Stutsman-Gerbaz has been part of The Roaring
Fork Valley's most prominent projects and custom homes.
Stutsman-Gerbaz has done it all from small homes in the west end
of Aspen to large estates on Red Mountain. Since 1960
Stutsman-Gerbaz Earthmoving has excavated well over 2,000 of the
most elegant and elaborate homes in Aspen and Snowmass.
Stutsman-Gerbaz has also been
involved in several of the areas most sensitive, environmental,
and historical projects. These projects include The Aspen
Mountain Sun Deck, The Benedict Music Tent, as well as The
Historic Isis Theater and The Sardy House renovations.
Stutsman-Gerbaz has, and will
continue to, pride itself on assuring that our commitment to
safety, quality, and the environment is second to none. We want
our work to be the best, while maintaining a safe working
environment, after all, perfection is our benchmark.
